Usage & handling guide
A standard lyophilised research peptide. Reconstitute gently, aliquot for single use, and keep the stock cold and dark.

1 · Equilibrate before opening
Let the sealed vial reach room temperature before breaking the seal. Opening a cold vial draws in moisture, and lyophilised peptide is hygroscopic.
2 · Add diluent down the wall
Direct the diluent slowly against the inside wall of the vial rather than onto the powder cake. A fast stream shears the peptide and lowers recovery.
3 · Dissolve, never shake
Swirl or roll gently until the cake is fully dissolved. Vortexing or shaking foams the solution and denatures peptide at the air–liquid interface.
4 · Inspect the solution
A correctly reconstituted stock is clear and free of visible particulate. Cloudiness, fibres, or a film indicates the stock should be discarded.
5 · Aliquot for single use
Split the stock into single-use aliquots in low-bind tubes and label each with compound, concentration, LOT and date. Repeated freeze–thaw is the most common cause of lost potency.
6 · Record against the CoA
Log the LOT number and the batch Certificate of Analysis reference alongside your results so every data point is traceable to a tested batch.

Why bacteriostatic rather than sterile water
The 0.9% benzyl alcohol suppresses microbial growth, which is what allows a multi-dose vial to be entered repeatedly over a working period. Plain sterile water offers no such protection and is single-entry only in most laboratory protocols.
