What BPC-157 is

BPC-157 is a synthetic fragment derived from a sequence identified in gastric juice. It is short, stable in aqueous solution relative to many peptides, and inexpensive to synthesise — which is why it appears so often in preclinical work.

It is not a registered therapeutic good in Australia and is supplied as a laboratory reference material only.

The literature is largely preclinical — cell culture and animal models examining tissue-repair signalling, angiogenesis-related pathways and gastrointestinal models.
